Sports Achievement 2024-25

Poojith Raj V of Soundarya P U College won the Bronze Medal in the Short Course Diving Competition held at Basavangudi Aquatic Centre, Bangalore.

Lipika Dev G J from Soundarya P U College secured third place in four different competition on in the 23rd State Short Course Swimming Championship 2024-25 Conducted by the Karnataka Swimming Association held at Basavanagudi Aquatic Centre from 5th to 8th December 2024.She was qualified for South Zone Nationals in the events of 4 X 200 M Freestyle Relay and 4 X 100 M Freestyle Relay.

Our college students won a total of 3 medals in the SGFI State Meet Taekwondo Competition,, 2 students qualified for the SGFI National which will be held in Madhya Pradesh from 21st to 24th December 2024 . 2 GOLD MEDALS and 1 SILVER MEDALS Congratulations to our talented students and their coaches on this outstanding achievement!

St. Paul Cup Volleyball Tournament held at St. Paul College, Bangalore. The team showcased remarkable teamwork, determination, and skill throughout the competition, making it to the finals in a highly competitive field. Their performance was a testament to their hard work and dedication to the sport. The college is proud of their achievement, and this victory highlights the growing sports culture at Soundarya PU College.

We are glad to share the incredible achievements of Rachana Nayak at the PU State Athletic Meet 2024, held in Tumkur. Rachana showcased her exceptional talent and dedication, securing two prestigious medals: 1. 800m–Bronze Medal 🥉 2. 4x400m Relay–Gold Medal 🥇 Her hard work has earned her a well-deserved spot in the PU Nationals!

Sujal, a proud Soundarian, played a key role in helping the Bangalore North team win the state basketball championship held at Kalburgi. His skills, leadership, and standout performances were crucial in securing the title, earning recognition and bringing pride to both his team and community

Two outstanding students, Master. Chethan K and Master. Rethesh Gowda have been selected to represent their district at the state-level handball competition. Both are known for their exceptional scoring ability and leadership on the court, excels in defense with their quick reflexes and strategic play. Both athletes have demonstrated remarkable dedication and teamwork throughout the season, earning the respect of their coaches and peers. Their hard work and commitment have culminated in this exciting opportunity.

Lipika Dev from Soundarya Composite PU College has achieved an incredible feat at the Dasara CM Cup 2024! She won gold in the 100m, 200m, 400m, and 100m butterfly events, as well as the 4x100m freestyle relay. Her outstanding performance earned her an overall cash prize of ₹15,500!

Lipika Dev, a student of Soundarya Composite Pre-University College and student athlete in the swimming participated in “Khelo India”, which was held on 28-09-2024 and 29-09-2024. She secured third place in 2.47.76 in 200 meter Medley in Round 1 (Zone 3)

We are happy to share you that, one of our Soundarya Composite PU college student Master Sujal has been selected for state level basketball competition. Sujal has shown incredible skill, commitment to the game is truly inspiring. Our institution, we prioritise the holistic development of student- athletes through comprehensive support for their sports journey. We offer dedicated coaching staff, state of the art facilities and access to sports science resources, ensuring athletes can excel both on and off the field.

Our talented students participated in 10th Karnataka State Cadget Kyorugi Taekwondo Championship which was organised by Karnataka Taekwondo in Yashwanthpur on 20th July 2024. The following students represented in the competitions: 1. S. K Imran Ali (Junior Male-45 Kg)-Gold medal and selected for nationals. 2. Nithin N (Junior Male-51 Kg)- Gold Medal and selected for Nationals. 3. Vijay dhami (Junior Male-48 Kg)-Gold Medal and selected for Nationals. 4. Ravishankar Pareek (Junior Male-73 Kg)-Bronze Medal

We are thrilled to announce that our student, Chandana of I PCMB, has secured the first prize in the Karate Kata category at the prestigious competition held on july 21st 2024 by Surana College Bangalore. This remarkable achievement is a testament to Chandana’s dedication, hard work, and exceptional skill in martial arts. Chandana’s success is a shining example of what can be achieved with dedication and hard work.

We are delighted to announce that our student, Chandan Gowda N from commerce stream has achieved third place in the 60-65 kg category at a recent karate competition held on july 21 st by Surana college . This impressive accomplishment is a reflection of Chandan’s hard work, skill, and dedication to the sport. His accomplishment serves as an inspiration to all students, highlighting what can be achieved through determination and effort.

Rachana Nayak of 2nd PU Commerce has secured first place in both the 400 meters and 800 meters running races held at Kittur rani Chennamma stadium. This incredible feat showcases Rachana’s exceptional talent, dedication, and hard work in athletics. Rachana’s double victory is a testament to her relentless training and passion for running, bringing pride to our institution and serving as an inspiration to her peers

Karthik.A , a student of Soundarya composite pre university college participated in All India National level open karate championship 2024 which was organised by Surana college,peenya.He was trained under Shinto RYU karate warriors academy affiliated and member of Akhila Karnataka sports karate associations. Karthik.A currently in his 2nd puc has distinguished himself as the best athlete .He won second place in karate under -60kg category at shilto RYU karate warriors academy which was held on July 21st 2024 at Surana college .
